The La Sal Mountains are vastly different from what most people think of when they think of the Moab area |
This is one of my most favorite pictures I have taken while riding. I love the golden aspen trees on the snow caped Mountains. |

The mountains receive much more precipitation than the lower elevations and as a result you are likely to see many range animals grazing |
This lake is on the trail to Beaver Basin. This area is difficult to locate on maps and is not show on any Trails Illustrated Maps.. |

We road this area in mid-September and at this elevation the temperature was very cold. |
The Golden Aspens remind one more of Colorado than Utah. These trails are a great escape the summer heat of Moab. |
