Parson’s Mountain OHV Trail is located in the northern
portion of the Long Cane Ranger District. Winding through
hardwood bottoms and pine plantations, the one-way trail offers
experiences that can be enjoyed by novice and experienced riders
of all ages. A two-way cut through allows riders the option of
riding a single large loop or two smaller loops. The trail is only managed for all-terrain
vehicles (ATVs) and dirt bikes. Jeeps, Hummers and other 4 x 4
vehicles are not allowed on trails. The maximum ATV width the
trail will accommodate is 50 inches.

Call Before You Haul
Due to weather conditions and maintenance, this trail may be
closed on short notice. Before your ride, please call the OHV
hotline at (803) 561-4025.
Length: 10.9 miles
Surface: Natural, packed clay, hardened areas
and gravel roads.
Fees:
$5 per OHV per day
Golden Age/Golden Access discounts do not apply.
Seasonal permits are available for $50 from the District
office.

Trail Blaze: Blue
Requirements: Maximum width 50 inches. Spark
arrestors are required.
Safety: Avoid trail use during the first two
weeks of rifle deer season. Wear blaze orange during the entire
hunting season. Helmets are strongly recommended. Be mindful of
traffic when traveling on or crossing roads.

Directions: From Anderson, travel south on Hwy
28 to the four-way stop in Abbeville. Turn right and travel 3.3
miles to the intersection of Hwy 28 and Hwy 72. Continue on Hwy
28 for 4.9 miles. Turn left onto Tower Road
(FS 515) for .3 miles. Trailhead is on right.
